FFA Activities

Due to the uncertainty of this school year, we are not sharing our typical calendar with dates for the entire year. Instead, we are sharing what all activities that we are taking part in this year. As dates are confirmed each month, we will update this page.

FFA Meeting Rules

To Follow CDC Guidelines - We are limiting our meetings to no more than 50 people. We will offer multiple sessions of the same meeting, of which, members can pick one slot. To keep numbers down, no parents or non-FFA members will be allowed to attend the meetings

These Dates have been set for you to save on your calendar:

  • August 24th - Payne County Free Fair Indoor Entries due at 4:00 p.m.
  • August 25th – Payne County Swine Show – 1:00 p.m.
  • August 25th – Payne County Sheep Show – 4:00 p.m.
  • August 26th – Payne County Goat Show – 4:00 p.m.
  • August 27th – Payne County Cattle Fitting Contest – 3:00 p.m.
  • August 27th – Payne County Beef Cattle Show 5:00 p.m.
  • August 29th – Payne County Horse Show – 9:00 a.m.
  • September 3rd  – Parents Meeting (Via Zoom) – 6:00 p.m.
  • September 8th – COLT Conference (Chapter Officers Only)
  • September 10th – Deadline to Signup for FFA Mentoring Program
  • September 10th – Opening Ceremonies Tryouts (2 Options – Only Attend 1)
    • ‚ÄčOption #1 – 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
    • Option #2 – 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
  • September 16th – Deadline For National Finalists to Submit Videos!
  • September 22nd – Ripley FFA Opening Ceremonies and Greenhand Quiz Contest
  • September 30th – Blue Jacket Application Due – For 10th Grade and Under to Receive a Free FFA Jacket
  • October 1st – 11th – Tulsa State Fair Livestock Show 
  • October 13th – Regional Opening Ceremonies and Greenhand Quiz Contest
  • October 20th – State Opening Ceremonies and Greenhand Quiz Contest
  • November 12th – OYE Nominations for Sheep, Steers, and Goats
  • December 1st – OYE Scholarship Deadline
  • December 8th – OYE Swine Nominations Due
  • January 20th – State FFA Degree Applications Due
  • January 28th – 31st – Central Area Livestock Show

Stillwater FFA Meetings for the 2020-2021 School Year!

Currently – We are suspending Chapter meetings. We look forward to resuming those!

Back to School Bash (Date to TBD)

  • Officer in Charge – Madison Zweiacker
  • Human Foosball – Enjoy our massive, human foosball court that keeps you over 6 feet away. Take part in fun games, prepackaged snacks, and a presentation from our officers on what this year has in store!

September FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Sarah Hatfield
  • Distance Dance – Take part in some karyoke and dancing in our Ag Arena. Find out that you can still bust a move from 6 feet away!

October FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Kenzie McAlister
  • Haunted Escape Room – Mixing up our haunted house this year, members will take part in haunted escape rooms in groups of 6-8. We hope that you can overcome your fears while figuring out how to bust out of the room!

November FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Keelyn Schaefer
  • Take me to the Fair – With so many fairs closing this year, we figured it would be great to have a local fair of our own! Come out for an evening of fair games, fair snacks, and a competition for the best fair food on a stick idea

December FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Riley Luginbill
  • A Very FFA Christmas – Take part in an evening for Christmas snacks, movies, games, and helping us wrap up our Christmas Parade Float

January FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Matthew Sitton
  • “Holey New Year” – Practice your bean bag throwing skills for a chapter-wide corn hole tournament. We look forward to a great evening!

February FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Austin Hooten
  • Ag Doesn’t Stop – An evening filled with agricultural games including mask decorating, egg toss, and many others

March FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Corbin Lacy
  • March Madness – A favorite from last year, come take part in a chapter-wide basketball tournament at the junior high gym. The Ag teachers are out for revenge this year!

April FFA Meeting

  • Officer in Charge – Teegin Crosthwait
  • Ag Olympics – A series of 10-challenges will seperate the country kids from the city slickers. Each game comes with amazing prizes includeing one winner for Free Whataburger for a Year!

May – End of the Year FFA Banquet

  • We will wrap up our year with a banquet and dinner at the Payne County Fairgrounds. Parents are invited to this event as we recognize outstanding members from this year.

Other FFA Activities – These Events have been planned by the Officer Team and will be scheduled throughout the year

  • Mentoring Program – To partner up younger and older memebers. See the link at the top of the page to sign up to take part in that
  • Bee habitat – We will be working to create planters to provide biodiversity for school farm bees
  • Trick or Treat for Mothers – This program will help us to collect formula and diapers for area mothers in need
  • Cans for Community 5K Race – This is our 3rd Annual Event, but our first virtual race. Sign up deadline are on this website by October 1st
  • Other Side of the Fence – This event (virtual or in-person) will partner up representative and agricultural specialists with our members to share lessosn on topics such as gas emissions, GMO labeling, and many others
  • Stillwater FFA TV – A great opporunity for all members, expecially those that chose virtual and want to remain involved while staying socailly distance. We will be putting out TV segments every other week of clips shot by our members. The Youtube Channel is “Stillwater FFA”
  • Book it to Pasture – This program will help us put Ag related books in the hands of elementary school students at Stillwater Public Schools
  • Adventure of an Agvocate – This dress and guess event will pair up speakers from agricultural professions with members through an in-class and virtual lessons.
  • Carpool Safety – A safety event that highlights the importance of behavior of high school students when riding together
  • Picky Eaters – A community wide event at the end of the semester that allows Stillwater residents to dive-in to agricultural production
